The New Flame Webring Homepage

Welcome to the New Flame Webring Homepage. This is the place to sign up if you have a Simply Red webpage you want to hook up with a webring.

What is a Webring?

A webring is a way to connect websites that share a common theme or interest together in one large internet ring so that people can easily find websites on a particular topic without having to search for hours on end through a search engine. Just by clicking on a next link or a previous link, a web surfer is taken to another site that is similar in topic. All the sites in this ring have something to do with Simply Red, whether it be sites devoted to individual members, musings on life as a Simply Red fan, or up-to-the-minute news pages.

How to join:

So how can you join? I am very flexible as to who I will allow in the ring, but you must meet a few requirements first. 1) The website must pertain in some way to Mick Hucknall or the group Simply Red as a whole. 2) Keep the site clean (I.E. no offensive, obscene material, though I don't see how that would be possible with a group great as this :-) ). See? It's that simple! I do, however, reserve the right to deny sites access to the ring, if they don't follow the rules.

If your page qualifies and you want to join this growing webring, here's what you need to do:

[1] YOU MUST put the proper html code for the ring on a visible or easy to find area of your site, either on the front page or on a seperate page for webrings. If I can't find it, I can't add you to the ring. When you first submit your site to the ring, you will recieve an ID#. Whatever number that is, you put in place of the "site_ID" symbols in the html coding. And where it says "YOUR ADDRESS HERE" or "YOUR NAME HERE" well, I hope you know what to do! I'll add more pictures as soon as I have time and gain a little more webring experience (this is my first one). Just click on one of the ring choices below, and then copy and paste the ring coding from that page..

[2] FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING FORM. You will prompted at the web ring server to fill out additional information. This form places you in a queue, which is like a waiting room. I will then check out your web site and if the graphic & coding are properly set up on your site, I'll add you to the ring. It's that simple.
